about the site owner
I’m a 71 years old, stroke survivor of 12 years. I am not a doctor or therapist and I have no training in either of these areas I’m just an individual sharing what I’ve learned during my recovery process.
I consider myself to be very fortunate to be able to do. It’s been and continues to be a very challenging journey I feel that I’ve worked hard to try to return to my pre-stroke condition. Unfortunately I still struggle with a partially paralyzed left arm and fingers as well a a very weak left leg which forces me to use a cane to walk
i decided to create this website to help survivors easily find tools/resources and inventions to assist o with their recovery. I found it very frustrating after my stroke that there wasn’t a place for me to go to find items to improve my quality of life. As a result I did a lot of searching for things that could help me (I’ve tried many but not all of them) As my recovery efforts I will add the new items I come across I also hope to add tools suggested by other SURVIVORS, that they’ve found useful in their recovery So please use the email form to send me your recommendations
Our recovery is a very personal matter with our loved ones so I hope that everyone will be willing to share their tools with others After each item is reviewed a link to it may or may not be added to the site Regardless of this outcome I will sincerely appreciate your submission. Thank you in advance for your desire to help others

Help fo the arm/hand and fingers
Many survivors suffer from deficiencies in one of their arms and hands/fingers . There are many items available for use at home to allow you to focus on improving your deficiency I’ve tried many different items and unfortunately have very quickly realized that most have not been designed or constructed to be used using one hand or without assistance
Walking, leg,ankle and toes
Many survivors find it difficult or impossible to walk after a stroke. A dropped foot is very common which can easily cause stumbling, tripping and sometimes falling There are many different types of aids/tools and braces to help you focus on improving walking abilities
Similar to the items for the arm/fingers, unfortunately many are not designed to be put on by someone with only one fixable hand
